Hello! Today we began lesson 4-4:Proving Triangles Congruent.
We covered 3 postulates: Side-Side-Side, Angle-Side-Angle, and Side-Angle-Side Postulates (SSS, ASA, SAS). I am pregnant everyone. Yup. No joke. Anyways, today we tried to apply these postulates to diagrams in order to determine if the triangles are congruent. On Monday, we will apply these postulates to 2-column proofs.
Oh! also, I clarified that CPCTC (Corresponding Parts of Congruent Triangles are Congruent) will not be used as the definition of congruent triangles--as your book does. They are separate (although related) statements with different conclusions.
See you at homecoming...for an hour.
