HW: Finish the handout problems 1-8 on the law of sines.

Your chapter text has been moved to next Thursday. STUDY and be ready for it.

TODAY: The Law of Sines.
The formula allows you to solve for triangles that are not RIGHT triangles. Solving for triangles means you must find all 3 side lengths and all 3 angle measures. Each measure will not require that you use the law of sines, but you will use it at least once. In some problems, you will use the Angle-Sum Theorem (the angle sum of a triangle is 180 degrees).

sinA/a = sinB/b = sinC/c

YOU NEED A CALCULATOR!!!!!!!!!!!!! PREFERABLY A SCIENTIFIC CALC. (at least), but a standard one will do too. You want the SIN, COS, TAN functions on your calc., if possible.
Check Amazon, Ebay, Craig's List, etc... a student found a TI-Inspire graphing calculator (worth $135, new) for $8!!!!!!! this way!!!!
