Mathematician Biography Paper
You will be writing a 2-page biography on a famous mathematician!
Requirements:
1) Page 1 = TITLE PAGE (creativity allowed): Include an nteresting title; include a picture of the mathematician when available; if a picture is not available, find a relevant symbol. Include your name, section, and date. DO NOT reprint your title, name, or class information on page 1 of your paper (5 points).
2) Pages 2 and 3 = Biography should be typed, 12 font, Times New Roman, double-spaced (35 points for content, grammar, punctuation, and length).
3) Use correct grammar and punctuation.
4) IN YOUR OWN WORDS!
5) Page 4 = Reference all of your information; Title it “References” (5 points).
6) Final Paper worth 50 points total (1 test grade).
7) Class presentation of your mathematician = 3-5 minutes, 10 points (you may use visual aids: PowerPoint, poster, transparency, etc.).
8) Rough Draft Due: Tuesday, November 23, 2010. (5 points)
9) Final Draft Due: Monday, December 6, 2010.
10) Presentations: Dec. 6, 7, 8.
