3) find the geometric mean between 2 numbers
4) know and state theorems 8-1, 8-2, and 8-3 and use them to find missing sides of right triangles
5) know and be able to state the Pythagorean theorem (PT); USE the PT to find a missing side
6) prove the Pythagorean theorem in more than one way
7) define Pythagorean triple and use them to find a missing side of a right triangle
Covering later this week but still on the test:
8) know how to use the converse of the PT to show a triangle is a right triangle
9) special right triangles: 45-45-90 and 30-60-90; know how to find missing sides of these special right triangles using their special side relationships
