Today we went over the quadratic formula homework problems from last night. Hopefully, you understand how and when to apply the formula when solving a quadratic equation.
Later... I starting talking about a segment and how we can divide it into 2 segments (of different lengths) such that the following is true:
the ratio of the larger segment part to the smaller segment part is equal to the ratio of the whole segment to the larger segment.
This common ratio is called the Golden Ratio or Golden Mean. This is only one way of discovering it. It is found in many other areas of math and nature! We will soon see how and what it all means....
