Fri 09/24/10

HW: Proofs from Handout with 2-5 and 2-6 practice (given to you yesterday!). Read the 2 sections. Study the examples!

Today I collected pg95-99 assignment- 20 points!
Also, I handed out 2 things: 1) 8 theorems from chapter 2 to memorize and 2) the same theorems with extra space for their proofs!
Monday we will start proving some of them.
If you were absent, I can email you the handouts. Email me and request them!

Chapter 2 Theorems: MEMORIZE

Theorem 2-1 (pg101): Congruence of segments is reflexive, symmetric, and transitive.

OR

1) Reflexive Property of congruent segments

2) Symmetric Property of congruent segments

3) Transitive Property of congruent segments

Theorem 2-2 (pg107): If two angles form a linear pair, then they are supplementary angles.

Theorem 2-3 (pg107): Congruence of angles is reflexive, symmetric, and transitive.

OR

1) Reflexive Property of congruent angles

2) Symmetric Property of congruent angles

3) Transitive Property of congruent angles

Theorem 2-4 (pg108): Angles supplementary to the same angle or to congruent angles are congruent.

Theorem 2-5 (pg109): Angles complementary to the same angle or to congruent angles are congruent.

Theorem 2-6 (pg109): All right angles are congruent

Theorem 2-7 (pg109): Vertical angles are congruent

Theorem 2-8 (pg110): Perpendicular lines intersect to form four right angles.
